Background
The end-of-chapter exercises provide hands-on practice with Excel spreadsheets for the concepts learned in this module. The virtual textbook indicates you can download and get sample files for the assignment. That is NOT the case! You will have to watch the tutorial about creating the spreadsheet and build the spreadsheet for your application assignment.
Instructions
Watch the tutorial on making spreadsheets. Then complete the exercise from Chapter 1, EXCEL APPLICATION: Staff Planning Spreadsheet. Then, calculate and answer the questions. Calculate the weekly staffing required, at 40 hours per week, for production levels of 200, 300, 400, and 500 units. How does the total requirement for each level of production change if Precision Products operates a 45-hour production schedule?
