07 Jul Mental Health and Physical Health. What Is The Difference?
There is a long history of stigmatizing those with mental illness in our country (and in the world). Do you think mental illness is fundamentally different from physical illness (such as high cholesterol or cancer or a broken arm), and if so, how? Do you think mental illness and those with mental illness should be perceived and regarded differently, and if so, why? Do you think benefit programs (e.g., health insurance, long-term disability) should cover mental health care as much as they cover physical illness, why or why not?
