Below are specifics in case you are ready to jump in deeper:

TASK 1: Annotated Bibliography with Thesis Statement  (see attached template)

• Develop an argumentative thesis with a debatable claim and 2-4 supporting points. 
• Use this language for the thesis: Research shows (insert arguable claim) because x, y, and z.
• Find 8 credible, research-based sources to provide evidence and support for your thesis.  
• Write an annotation for each source that will be approximately 5-6 sentences long. This will include a summary of the source (aim for 3 sentences), a discussion of the authors credibility ( 1 sentence stating a specific credential), and a statement of relevance (tell us how the source supports your thesis).  

TASK 2: The Research Paper. Use your thesis as the outline and aim for  pages, 5-6 double-spaced (of actual text). For a thesis with three supporting reasons, keep this super-simple working outline in in mind and you cant go wrong:

• Introduction paragraph with thesis statement as the last sentence
• A second paragraph that elaborates on the background or context (OPTIONAL)
• At least 2 paragraphs that detail the first thesis point (each containing source support)
• At least 2 paragraphs that detail the second thesis point (each containing source support)
• At least 2 paragraphs that detail the third thesis point (each containing source support)
• Conclusion that begins with restatement of thesis and summarizes each thesis point

Add a cover page with your name and ID and an APA references page of the sources cited in the text. The references page should list the sources in alphabetical order by authors last name.
