Students willresearch and identify a mental health bill and its impact on the psychiatric-mentalhealth nurse practitioner (PMHNP) role. Students will work individually on thisassignment. The assignment requires a current APA format, be 46 pages(excluding the title page and reference page), and have at least threepeer-reviewed references in addition to the course textbooks and the Bible.Please see the Mental Health Policy Grading Rubric.

Select a House ofRepresentatives or Senate bill (national or state level), either currently inprocess or one that has been passed within the last year that impacts mentalhealth care operations, advanced practice nursing, or mental health care financing.(Include the name of the bill: e.g., H.R. 4909 (115th): Stop SchoolViolence Act of 2018. Note if the bill is federal or state level legislationand indicate the state, if applicable. Also note if the bill was passed and thedate, if in committee [House or Senate], or if awaiting the presidentssignature).
1. Discussyour support or opposition of the bill based on policy, legal, and ethicalconsiderations, and the Christian worldview.
2. Considerthe nursing practice act in your state and other state-level documentspertaining to practice, the Social Policy Statement of the American NursesAssociation, and your biblical worldview as you support your viewpoint.
3. Considerfunding of the bill and who should pay, if applicable.
4. Discusshow the bill impacts or will impact, the role of the PMHNP. Discuss the impacton health care quality and outcomes.
