  4. Remember that Power Point is available, for free, through your Office 365 Account.

Assignment Submission:

  • The use of outside resources is strongly recommended, and all work must be cited and written in current APA format.

Ensure that you READ the prompt and that you follow each detail.

Submit a 7-10 page PowerPoint and ensure that you have a Cover Page and EVERYTHING you do is cited. Finish your PPT with a final slide labeled “References”. The cover page and reference page DO NOT count against the 7-10 page requirement.

Feel free to use images and text, but do not use video integration. Keep your text as concise as possible. Overloading a slide is quickly done and detracts from the effectiveness of a PPT presentation.

Principles of verbal messaging is a “fun field”, as language is abstract and concrete,  arbitrary and symbolic, rules based and always in flux, and lastly, language has the power to shape our realities and cultures. When you think about the power of language, unpack it, and appreciate the multilayered flair of anything verbal, you’ll be able to build an amazing PPT.

Lastly, please do not take the citations and references part lightly. This is an assignment that every COMM1310 class completes. The TurnItIn scanner usually goes into overdrive on any PPT assignment. The best way to not get caught in the plagiarism web, is to cite and reference.
