International terrorism within the U.S. is low compared to other countries. Prior to the 1990s much of the terrorist activity spilled over from conflicts in other Western countries. The terrorist environment started to change in the 1990s. For this assignment, select a terrorist or extremist attack that occurred between the 1990s and the present in the U.S. Provide a description of the attack, which group or person committed the attack, what method of attack was used, and the ideology behind the attack. Finally, describe how the attack affected U.S. counterterrorism initiatives and policies post-attack.
