Students will pick a research topic of your own and write an abbreviated version of a one page research proposal similar to the one on page 124. Each student will submit a one page proposal (Word document only) and PowerPoint presentation with audio embedded. 

Similar to the first short paper, you should focus on the following:

1: What is the issue/topic?

2: Why is it important?  Who cares?

3: What do we already know about the issue?

4: What will your proposed research add to the existing knowledge on the topic?  How will you do it?

5: Who will benefit from your findings and how?
