Isaac's Storm Discussion

In a brief (2-4 paragraphs) initial post discuss some similarities and differences regarding our tenuous relationship between "Mother Nature" in 1900 and today. Have we progressed in our knowledge and awareness from the time of the Galveston Hurricane or are we still making the same mistakes despite our improved technology? One-hundred and twenty years from today, what might our future generations look back on and criticize us for, just as we today may look back and criticize the arrogance and hubris of Isaac Cline in 1900?
