15 Aug Reading Response
Your written responses should be brief and concise, while demonstrating your understanding of assigned readings. This may include questions raised by the text or interrogations that the text may have elicited, a brief summary or outline of the texts main arguments, and your comments or opinions of the reading. With each reading, identify and describe at least one concept/term that you find particularly relevant to your own creative practice. You do not need to cite the source reading, but if you refer to any outside sources, you must cite them in MLA or Chicago format with endnotes and a bibliography.
General evaluation criteria:
Demonstration of students engagement with readings (depth of written reflection, inquiry, and attentiveness)
Presentation and intentionality of writing (i.e. accessible formatting and thoughtful use of language)
Originality and authenticity (the expression of your own unique voice and experiences)
Assignment Objectives:
Enhance critical writing skills
Develop an understanding of the ideas and contexts associated with performance and technology
Stimulate discussion in class.
