15 Aug Psychology Case Study
Complete a case study on an imaginary individual. The structure of this case study should be a chronological review of an imaginary individual’s life story and how they developed across their lifespan. No two individual stories are the same, so you can use a blend of scientific principles, personal experiences from you or others you know, character concepts from fiction (books, TV series, movies), historical figures, and any other influence to craft a life story from prenatal development to older adulthood. (Note: If you choose to use any personal experiences, please consider your own privacy and protect any sensitive information you would prefer to keep private.) To be complete, the case study should review the individual’s development across each major part of life (infancy, childhood, adolescence, young adulthood, older adulthood). To be complete you must reference at least one major developmental milestone or major event in each part of life, and you must discuss briefly the developmental theory (psychosocial, biosocial, or cognitive) which explains the developmental impact of that major milestone or event. This focus on development and the relevant theories is what differentiates a case study from a simple biography, so ensure you cite the scientific principles you use from the text and any other source you reference.
