Why do the Kardashians keep styling themselves in ways that lead to cultural appropriation accusations? These woman-though wild at times- are not stupid. They turned a sex tape into a multi billion dollar empire. As far as their careers are concerned, public reception is EVERYTHING, so why do they keep doing this? Do they simply not care? Do they not understand what cultural appropriation means? Or is it possible that their proximity to blackness (husbands, children, boyfriends etc.) blurs the line between what is appropriate for them vs what is appropriate for their family? 

Kendall- overall media industry- why do they keep doing this? Tequila commercial, etc

Khloe- Native American appropriation with Coachella outfit 

Kylie- the lips- beauty- why are people upset about the lips/   

Kim- Blackfishing- her dark tans, magazine covers,  

Kourtney- taking it too far- its not that serious. She was accused of cultural appropriation after dressing like Moana on an instagram post. Are we looking for something to be angry about? 

I essentially want to explore the areas regarding cultural appropriation using the Kardashian family as examples.
