Pretend you are a music critic for a newspaper or a blogger for a music website. Your editor has asked you to explore how one of our course themes is reflected in the music industry of today.
Requirements:

Topic:
The underrepresentation of BIPOC women and LGBTQ artists in the music industry.
Examples:
I will explore the gender and racial inequality in the music industry. I will speak about LGBTQ+ rappers and the hesitance of coming out in their community. I will also explore the pay gap between male and female artists, and the reluctance of hiring multiple headlining women entertainers. I will also briefly touch on the subject of the popularity (or lack of popularity) of unprovocative female artists.
