15 Aug Integration Essay
(1) Identify one chosen model of integration from those covered in the course over the subterm to discuss. Likely, it will be the model with which you most closely agree. Do not create your own model, combine models, or generally discuss integration.
You might choose the Allies model, Christian combatants model, Colonialist model, or any of the other models discussed in your course textbook. However, you must choose one of the models from the course. This model should be identified in the introduction along with a clear thesis statement.
-
- Discuss and analyze the chosen identified model for the required components listed in your instructions. All requirement elements need to be included, as outlined in the instructions and the grading rubric.
Once you choose a model from the course, include discussion of each of the required elements in relation to that identified model. To guide your writing and ensure inclusion of all required elements, I highly recommend creating section headings, using APA format.
When completed, your paper will include the following sections:
(1) Introduction
This paragraph will tell your reader what to expect from reading your paper. Include a general discussion of the paper contents, and do not forget to include identification (labeling) of your chosen model (such as Allies model) and end with your thesis statement at end of the introductory paragraph.
(2) Overview of your identified/labeled model with its view of the relationship between
Christianity and psychology
(3) The four methods of knowing (logic, authority, empiricism, and revelation with
interpretation) along with an answer to the question of what methods of knowing are deemed appropriate for Christians and/or therefore, utilized by your chosen model
(4) Two books concept and how your identified model views the two books
(5) Strengths of your chosen model (with specific identification/labeling and discussion of at
least three)
(6) Limitations of your chosen model (with specific identification/labeling and discussion of
at least three)
(7) Conclusion
As you write, here are some helpful tips:
* When discussing the strengths and limitations, you can include critiques or insights offered by those who hold other positions or you can support your opinions using information from the textbook and course materials.]
* For this paper, you will need to include information from, with citations to and a reference listing for, Entwistle’s (2015) textbook. In addition to using Entwistle’s (2015) text, please include scripture to support your discussion as well. [No additional sources are needed.]
