- Many schools across the nation have what they refer to as professional learning communities (PLCs). If you are familiar with one of those schools, to what degree do you believe it has embraced the six characteristics of PLCs discussed in this chapter? What indicators of the presence or absence of the characteristics are present in the school you are considering?
