1. Attend Professional Meeting within own organization
Description: Student will attend a professional meeting within the students healthcare organization setting L(Long term and rehabilatatin care setting). This could be an evidence-based practice meeting, policy/procedure implementation meeting, quality improvement meeting. Student will reflect on how the interdisciplinary team collaborates for positive patient and organizational outcomes. Assessment: Student will submit an agenda for the professional meeting and will provide a written reflection/analysis of topics discussed in a journal format, how the inter[1]professional team collaborated, and future direction planned by the group. Student Practicum Journal Instructions
Students will submit journals reflecting their clinical activities, Journals of clinical/practicum is a Portfolio Artifact. Journals shall include the following for each topic:
1. Activity- State the activity. Identify persons or groups involved; explain their roles and functions. Include students role in the activity.
2. Description-provide a detailed description of the activity including:
a. Explain events and activities that occurred during the experience.
b. Discuss outcomes of experience.
*Attach documentation of experience, copies or links to resources, as appropriate.
**Please note that the student should exercise discretion in discussing information of a confidential nature.
3. Reflection/Analysis Include impressions about the effectiveness, accomplishment of related goals, and thoughtful insights about the personal meaning of the clinical/practicum activity.
a. Identify influences changed or shaped by the events during the activity?
b. Describe the activitys most satisfying aspects.
c. Explain the challenges and how they were solved.
d. Discuss how successful the persons or groups involved were in accomplishing the goals?
e. Identify how this activity will promote your professional development.
