Read “Setting Right a Dangerous World” by John Gaddis (see reading section)
In Module 7 you read Schlesinger’s article, “Beyond the Cold War.”
In this free-write comment on Gaddis’s article which addresses the post-Cold War world and the factors that may have led the what has been called the ‘Age of Terror.’
Think about Gaddis’s propositions. Remember he is writing this not long after 9-11. What does he see as the looming issues that the US (the West) must address? Do you agree? How have his predictions/analyses been proven correct? How have they not?
Write at least 500 words. I should be able to tell that you read his piece, understand his propositions, and have thought seriously about them.
