This assessment is made up of 2 Parts: 

 

Part 1: 2,500-word essay (worth 70%) this is an essay. Discuss how the preceptor/ mentor would develop learning, teaching and assessment strategies to support the student to achieve a successful outcome. Utilize /refer to the module content, the learning opportunities and resources in the practice area and further reading, to develop your discussion. 

 

 

Part 2: 1,000-word reflective essay (worth 30%) reflective style essay. Discuss how the learning gained would apply to your practice as a preceptor/mentor.

 

Structure your essay using the student guidance below.  This will make it easy for your reader/marker to follow and understand. The suggested order of content is a suggestion and not prescriptive.
