31 Aug Philosophy-Read the story of Jim.
It’s simple and straightforward. If you pay someone to write it for you, you are wasting your money. I’m looking for about 5 pages. That means no fewer than 4 pages, and no more than 7 pages. If you write more than 7 pages, I will only read the first 7. If you try to make your paper look longer or shorter by exaggerating the margins or typeface, you will piss me off.
1. Read the story of Jim.
2. Analyze what Jim should do, based on each of the 5 chapters we are covering in our textbook. That means you are going to answer the question, “What should Jim do?” 5 times. Each time, you are not only expected to say what Jim should do, but why, according to the viewpoints in the text. At the end, say what you think he should do, and why.
3. Write clearly. I am not interested in fancy words. If you use a technical term, define it. Write it so clearly that a fellow student who is not taking the class would understand it.
3. If you choose to quote or paraphrase the textbook OR ANY OTHER SOURCE, cite it properly. If you have managed to get to college without ever writing a paper in which you had to cite sources, consult our embedded tutor. I strongly discourage waiting until the last minute to consult her, because she’ll probably be pretty busy then. The smartest students will start their paper right away and finish it up well before the due date.
4. Type and double-space. If you want a good grade, use orthodox English grammar and spelling.
