In this brief essay, Ill ask you to use at least 3 articles from the semester (required or suggested readings) to analyze a cultural item/ event/ issue. Put another way, how might a Black trans studies perspective help us think about X phenomenon? Im purposefully defining what topics you can analyze very vaguely, so that you feel free to choose something that interests you. Some examples might be: a TikTok trend, a recently passed law, a music video, a controversy, a movie, a school policy, etc.
