The video in the above link discusses the appropriate way to persuade people to your point of view. It also discusses how we do not do this very well in general. Specifically, the video refers to “Tribal Media” aka “Social media”. 

In this discussion, I would like your thoughts on how we argue online.

First, Think about Pathos, Logos and Ethos, and the concept of the rider and the elephant. 

Second, think about any arguments you have seen or heard online, on the news, in person, etc. 

Third, post your thoughts as to why our culture is so divided and so bad at talking to one another when we disagree? What are we NOT doing from the video?  You can use specific examples to support your point, but you cannot JUST tell the story of a specific example.
