Disaster
Disaster refers to naturally occurring or human-induced events that result in serious distraction in the functioning of a community where it occurs. These calamities result in loss of lives, injuries, loss of property, among others. Results from a disaster help in the study of the causes and effects of such occurrences and hence enable disaster preparedness for future occurrences (Canton, 2019).
