Informed consent is a process that begins before the client’s first session and continues until the client is terminated. Prepare a 750 word paper answering the following questions based on the ethics codes. Use the assigned reading from your texts, one peer reviewed journal from the MACU library, and the Implementing Informed Consent document.
- If you were to create an informed consent document you would give your clients, what are the main elements it would contain?
- Although it is essential to review informed consent with clients in the initial sessions, doing so only at this time is not adequate. In what ways is complying with the spirit of informed consent an ongoing process?
