 This week, we will discuss the differences between utilitarianism and deontology.

WATCH the following videos on utilitarianism and deontology.

RESPOND to the following questions in a minimum total of 175 words:

• Which of these 2 theories do you tend to favor the most? Why?

• Describe a specific incident where you made a decision based on utilitarian principles (max. happiness for the most people; the greater good, etc.).

• Describe a specific incident where you made a decision based only on a sense of moral duty (i.e., you did it because it was “the right thing to do” and not because of consequences or self-interest or feelings).
