We are constantly dealing with unexpected changes in our lives, whether it occurs in our career, relationships, or finances. It is hard to move on to a new path if you are complacent about your current situation. Who Moved My Cheese is a recommended way to deal with change in your life. The story is about moving with change in a business fable style. Written by motivational speaker and management consultant, Dr. Spencer Johnson, it became a New York Times’ bestseller in 1998.
After watching the YouTube Video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tDNhEYpBPbY) and viewing the Powerpoint presentation please reflect on the lessons that the characters in the story learned. How are the lessons applicable to the situations you encounter in your personal life? Hopefully, Who Moved My Cheese has influenced your perspective on change. Are you like Sniff and Scurry, who are always ready to adapt, or are you like Hem and Haw?
Make sure you discuss the following in your paper:
1. Change Happens: they keep moving the cheese
2. Anticipate Change: get ready for the cheese to move
3. Monitor Change: smell the cheese often so you know when it is getting old
4. Adapt to Change quickly: the quicker you let go of old cheese, the sooner you can enjoy new cheese
5. Change: move with the cheese
6. Enjoy Change: savor the adventure and enjoy the taste of new cheese
Each of the 6 components should be clearly labeled and bolded as headings.
