31 Aug Tessellations
Create a tessellation pattern using the Microsoft Paint program, GeoGebra, MicrosoftPowerPoint, other means available to you, or you may draw something by hand.
Use color and shading to create a visually pleasing tessellation.
You must create a new shape to tesselate. Please read through the examples and non-examples. You may not just use a rectangle and triangle as a pattern, or an arrow flipped around. If you do not change the regular shape by cutting and pasting you will lose points.
Write a minimum 500-word paper that includes the following:
- An explanation of why you chose the tessellated figure
- The type of transformation used and why
- The actual tessellation or a picture of the created tessellation
- Some real-world examples of tessellations that you can find
- How you might use real-world examples of tessellations to help elementary-level students understand tessellations
Formatyour paper according to APA guidelines.
