This week we want to answer, “What is the bystander effect and how does it happen?” The chapter on Prosocial Behavior in your textbook looks at the situational determinants of helping behavior and the bystander effect.

- Describe the bystander effect.
- Provide a situation in which the bystander effect could happen.
- What are some of the things you can do to stop this from happening?
- What are some personal and interpersonal factors that may influence if someone is helped/helps?
