My area of concentration is children & families.  My client is a 42-year-old, African American woman who is a single parent to a 13-year old daughter. The client system will be focused on the individual system (mom).  The mom recently suffered from an injury while working at her job.  She is feeling depressed and has become increasingly impatient when engaging with her daughter.  The client just moved to Texas six months ago and she has no local family support system.
