05 Oct Reflective Thinking: Confirmation Bias-Describe a situation in which you or someone you know has demonstrated confirmation bias
As human beings, we all have biases that affect our perceptions and ideas. According to von Winckelmann and Garcia (2021), “a bias is a tendency to view something in a particular way” (p. 52). Take some time and reflect on your own biases. Do you have a favorite restaurant, sports team, author, or information source? How does that affect your perception of them and the conclusions you draw? In this discussion, you will reflect on confirmation bias and explore its impact on your daily life and the research process.
