This week we are asking you to tell us what you think the U.S. government should do to combat global warming. If you are from a different country, you can instead choose to talk about what you think your home country should do. What are the difficulties with your proposed course of action and how do you propose to overcome them? What do you think the outcome of this course of action will be?
This is meant to be an open-ended discussion, but please be specific. The more you flush out the details of your proposal, the more you will be able to figure out how feasible the course of action you propose is.
Please spend ~30 minutes reflecting and writing. When you are done, upload your assignment on iLearn. Grading will be as outlined in Rubric below, with a 300 word count minimum.
Rubric:
Once per week you will be required to submit a reflective writing assignment via iLearn. These assignments are designed to help your learning by reflecting on what you learned and what is confusing you. We will provide writing prompts and you should spend about 30 minutes considering the prompt and responding in writing. This writing should be your own ideas and thoughts and is not meant to be a formal essay. Grades will be assigned for turning in the reflection on time (3 points), exceeding the word count requirement (3 points) and on writing thoughtfully on the topic (4 points). These reflections will generally be due on Sundays. Please note the due date for each assignment, as late work will not be accepted.
