09 Nov The Importance of Naming
For this assignment you are required to write a 1250-1500 word critical analysis in response to ONE of the topics below. The essay should contain an explicit thesis statement that is developed and defended through a careful and thoughtful close reading of the text that utilizes textual references to support key points. Essays should include an introductory paragraph, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Students may choose any text examined from Weeks 2-5 from the syllabus. Secondary sources are not required for this assignment, but they are welcome.
The essay should have an original and thoughtful title. The essay should correspond to the requirements of the MLA style guide. The essay should be written in 12pt Times New Roman font. The Works Cited page does not count toward the final word count.
