09 Nov Discussion
Prompt: Use your commonplace book to create a storyboard of your answer to the question. A storyboard is very much like a comic, but the pacing, organization, and focus differ somewhat depending on the purpose, audience, and evidence being presented.
This assignment does not have to take a lot of time, what you’re aiming for here is a rough visual representation/narrative of your answer. Your storyboard must contain at least 4 panels. Here are some possible starting points to consider:
-
-
-
Which characters are talking to others in your answer?
-
What sequence of events is necessary to understand your evidence?
-
You could put two (or more) characters into conversation with one another, discussing your strongest idea from the 10 on 1 exercise. That conversation could take up important ideas from your sources. By putting these characters into conversation with one another, you may work to refine your answer further.
-
Has your perspective on the past shifted through reading and considering the connection between these sources? Use characters and ideas in your storyboard to map that out, drawing your strongest idea from the worksheet into the storyboard spaces.
-
How should this answer be “paced” out? In other words, what logical steps of thinking are involved?
