1. Watch the following short films:

• Doodlebug. Christopher Nolan. Momac Films Ltd. (UK), 1997.  DVD  

• Vincent. Tim Burton. Walt Disney Productions (USA), 1982. DVD 

• Kosher. Aimee Barth. Florida State University, School of Motion Picture, Television and Recording Arts (USA), 2001. 

2. Assignment 1. Write one page per story (total 2 pages). Writing in PRESENT TENSE ONLY, please write one (1)  brief story (no more than a page) using the JOURNEY structure, and one (1) completely different story using the RITUAL OCCASION structure. Write in present tense. Describe events visually, do not write thoughts, we cant see thoughts! Dialogue or scene directions only. 

Remember to:

• Introduce your protagonist

• Introduce their goal (what do they want?)

• Introduce the main obstacle to their goal
