Objective: Identify David’s resilience in the Book of Psalms.
Instructions
From his days as a young shepherd boy to becoming the King of Israel, David serves as a model of spiritual resilience. David’s use of writing poetry and playing the harp became a source of spiritual resilience. This journal entry is about David’s Resilience in the Psalms. Many of David’s psalms are connected to major events in his life. For example, refer to the probable occasion on which each Psalm was composed (Links to an external site.). https://www.blueletterbible.org/study/parallel/paral18.cfm As a poet and musician, David obviously took time for self-care and spiritual rejuvenation to gain resilience.
In a 1 to 2-page journal entry, choose 3 of David’s psalms and explain how they inspire and strengthen you. One of the 3 psalms should be a hymn or contemporary worship song that was based on a psalm of David.
Provide a YouTube link to that hymn or worship song in the last paragraph of your journal. For example, Come Let Us Worship (lyrics) (Links to an external site.) – Chris Tomlin was based on Psalm 62. As a poet and musician, David obviously took time for self-care and spiritual rejuvenation to gain resilience.
