According to your course notes, the salient characteristics of critical research are:
1. A concern with analysis at a societal and social structural level.
2. An emphasis upon conflict between social groupings and on the dynamics of struggles between them.
3. An emphasis on power and control in the relation between social groupings.
4. An interest in ideology as a means by which existing structures and social arrangements are legitimated and maintained.
5. A commitment to not taking for granted what-is-said.
6. A commitment to changing the existing state of things. (Tite, Yeoman, & Doyle, 2017)
In 8-10 pages (not including title page and reference list), comment upon each of these six characteristics, as well as four or more of the following descriptors—or add your own:

• Empowering
• Emancipatory
For each of your 10 (or more) focus areas of your paper, analyze and/or critique explain how each of these characteristic or descriptors relate to your chosen article (choices below).
Please note that this paper should include other expected elements of good writing style at a graduate level (e.g., introduction, conclusion, cover page, references, multiple sources, APA style, limiting direct quotes, etc.).
