Write a five-paragraph essay based on ONE of the below topics:
· Parent/Child relationships
· Sacrifice
· Mental health
· Gender dynamics/stereotypes
· Mortality
· Guilt
· OR if there is another topic that you feel like addressing, feel free, but please run it by Sarah first.
Your essay must:
· Focus on at least TWO of the pieces of literature discussed this semester, one of which MUST be Hamlet or Crow Lake.
· Flesh out one of the above topics to create a solid thesis/argument, which will be supported over three paragraphs.
· Have a concise and specific title.
· Have a correctly blueprinted introduction and conclusion.
· Have a body section that logically unpacks the items in the blueprint.
· Make correct and effective use of transition words and phrases
· Utilize complex and compound sentences
· Utilize examples from the texts used to support the statements/arguments you provide.
· Contain in text references which must be correctly-cited; there should be at least three of them
· Be typed in a word document: 12 point font, double spaced. Handwritten assignments will NOT be accepted.
· Be supplied with a Works Cited page correctly formatted according to APA guidelines.
· Be free of errors in grammar, spelling, sentence structure, and typing.
