Illusions: Ambiguous Image
In psychology, an illusion can be defined as a stimulus (audio, visual, etc.) that is likely to be wrongly perceived or interpreted by the senses.
Illusions often lead us to make incorrect perceptions based on the actual reality of a stimulus. In this short paper, you will analyze an ambiguous image according to the criteria provided.
In order to complete this short paper:
1. Provide a brief explanation and overview of an ambiguous image. You must embed the illusion or provide a link to it.
2. How does the ambiguous image work? In other words, what’s happening to create the misperception of the stimulus?
3. What are the underlying psychological principles related to sensation and perception that this illusion exploits?
You may use a minimum of 3 resources. Regardless of which resources you use, YOU MUST CITE THEM APPROPRIATELY IN YOUR PAPER.
