Direc�ons: Post within Week 2 Assignments as a text entry (not an a�achment), and in no more than 300 words, a current or past organiza�onal issue or event you are or have experienced that you will examine through the structural, human resources, poli�cal and symbolic frames.

You will use this organiza�onal situa�on to prepare your Organiza�onal Dynamics Analysis paper due in Week 6 , and respond to discussion threads in weeks 2 – 5.

Here are some examples of significant organiza�onal events that could be the basis of an effec�ve analysis. Very o�en a well-chosen situa�on is one that is very successful or a failure in achieving the desired goals and outcomes.

Examples include:

● Major change ini�a�ve ● Merger or acquisi�on ● Reorganiza�on or restructuring ● Large lay-off (10% or more of staff) ● New technology or system ● New product development and/or implementa�on ● Important team effort ● Controversial ethical dilemma

DESCRIBE: In describing the organiza�onal situa�on, clearly and concisely iden�fy the issue you will examine through the four-frame model.

OVERVIEW: In the descrip�on, include the organiza�on’s goals, key players (names op�onal), and any other relevant background informa�on. For example, if the organiza�onal issue is a major change ini�a�ve, what were the desired outcomes or goals, who were the key players and what was your role?
