This week’s content addressed the role of experiences and self-reflection in the development of emancipatory knowledge. In addition, content related to ethical knowledge was presented. Using the assigned readings and your professional experience as a starting point, answer the following:
In chapter 3 Chinn and Kramer discuss asking the question “Who benefits from this situation?” when observing a situation you believe to be unfair. How does asking this question lead to emancipatory knowledge development?
Discuss at least two aspects in your work environment (e.g., patterns of control, rules, prohibitions, principles, codes, etc). For each aspect, identify how your ethical decision making is either positively or negatively affected by current processes and procedures.
