In this assignment, you will practice applying some of the concepts regarding supply chains that you examined and reviewed.
Instructions:
If your new business is product-oriented: Describe the supply chain that leads to your end product and what sort of inventory control process you think would be best for your
company and explain why (see pp. 472–476).
If your business is service-oriented: Describe the supply chain and the inventory control system to be used to control the adjunct supplies (office supplies, technology, etc.) used in providing the company service to customers (see pp. 472–476).
Checklist: You will create a Microsoft PowerPoint® presentation addressing the following:
Name and clearly identify the type of service business or product business (manufacturing or retail/wholesale). Be sure to provide a brief description of your service or product offerings.
Analyze and then describe the inputs, operations processes, and outputs.
Describe and show (using a simple graphic) the supply chain leading to production of the product or provision of the service to the customer.
Based on the unit reading and/or learning activity, outline the best inventory control process for the business and explain why (see pp. 472–476).
Be sure to place additional notes in the notes section of at least two or three of your slides.
Include at least one direct reference to the course textbook or other viable resource.
Your information should be presented in a minimum of eight (8) PowerPoint slides, using no more than five bulleted points per slide and putting any detailed notes below the slides. Include additional title and reference slides using current APA format and citation style.
