Sitting through PowerPoint presentations and trainings is often viewed as a necessary evil of working in a professional organization. While a PowerPoint should ideally be a visually appealing complement to a speech or lecture, too often presenters create crowded, ineffective slides with either too much or not enough text, or an overload of “gimmicks” like clip art, sound files, and jarring transitions.
