During Week 4, we examine social inequalities in social institutions and think deeply about strategies for eliminating them.
Respond to the following in a minimum of 175 words:
• In your opinion, how does gender inequality affect earning power? What other pervasive institutional considerations may influence pay inequality?
• How were poor people, especially poor people of color, affected by a recent natural disaster in the United States? How did their lack of privilege drastically affect their lives during and after the disaster? What things could have been done differently to achieve social equality in the care?
• Include source citations using APA format at the end of your presentation.
Watch Segments 1 and 2 of the “Touch the Sky” video from the University Library for insight that might provide context for how poor people of color are affected by natural disasters.
