Criteria

Identified – Artist & artifact correctly named, defined, and appropriate dates are given. Elements of the artifact are discussed. One interesting fact about the artwork is given.

Context & Purpose – Artist’s context has been correctly identified. The purpose of the artist in creating this artwork is given.

Importance – Discuss why this artist’s work is (or is not) important. Should this artist be a Giant? Should this artwork be a masterpiece?

Mechanics – Slides are well prepared, easy to read, and fit subject matter and discussion. Verbal presentation is appropriate to the subject and clear, containing 5–10 minutes of content. Speaker provided complementary information to the slides’ visuals.

 When producing your PowerPoint Presentation, ensure that you use high contrast colors for text; use the heading hierarchy for easy tabbing; provide alternate tags for images and provide a transcript for your audio.
