Assessing families and the relational issues they present in treatment introduces multiple variables that are not present in individual assessments. This assignment will walk you through an approach to looking at the family system as a whole in assessing their presenting concerns.

Assess the current functioning of the Sawyer family using Karl Tomm’s “HIPS and Slips” approach.
Write a 1 to 2-page double-spaced response. Address how each of the six components of Tomm’s approach is present in the family
The paper should be in APA style: cover page, double spaced, the first line indented, and citations and reference list if needed.
