Reflection Prompt

In lecture, you learned that Vygotsky believes private speech is extremely important for complex cognitive growth.  Do you ever use private speech? 

If  yes…When? Does it serve the same functions for you as it does for children? What might be some different functions?

If no…why not? Why would children use it and not adults?  What are the different functions?
