For the research paper, you must choose a civilization from any period before the 1700’s. You should discuss how this civilization began, who were its rulers, what kind of economy, social and culture did it have. What was its major religion, who were its enemies, how did it manage to rise to power, and how did it eventually fall from power? Why did you choose this civilization and what do you think are its contributions to world history? It might be easier if you want, to pick a particular aspect of that civilization to narrow the scope of your topic, ex. The Mandate of Heaven, or the Mayan Ball Game.
Paper should be at least 4 pages long. This does not include the title page or bibliography. It should be double spaced and use 12 pt. font. You must use at least 4 references, 2 of which must be from a book or journal. Every page must include at least one citation from one of these sources. Under no circumstances should you use our text book as a reference
