Fallacies of argument are common in persuasive speeches (and advertising). The list of fallacies is long and includes appeal to numbers, appeal to authority, slippery slope, appeal to pity, strawman, bandwagon, correlation/causation, and character attacks. Keep in mind that logical fallacies are specific types of errors made when trying to be persuasive. Which fallacy do you feel is the most common in our culture right now? Why?
