Interview a family member or someone in your community about their healthcare insurance and medical coverage or lack of coverage (uninsured or underinsured). What type of healthcare insurance do they have? Describe their premiums, co-pays, out-of-pocket expenses. Are they adequately covered for all healthcare needs? Have they ever skipped medical appointments, treatments, or prescription medications because of cost? Discuss a Medicare-for-all plan and if this is supported. Why or why not? Include any other pertinent discussion.

In a three to four-page paper, describe your interview and what you have learned from this individual about their personal healthcare insurance situation. Include the main points above and describe their support level for a national Medicare-for-all system. What have you learned from this interview? Have your views about our current healthcare system changed? Do you think there should be a national healthcare system in the U.S. Explain why or why not? Do not include the name of your interviewee in the paper (keep anonymous).
