Choose the state in which you currently live (TEXAS) . Review the data, and write an essay that addresses, at
a minimum, the following:
Begin with a brief introduction and overview of the types of disasters that have occurred in your state in the past and how
FEMA has provided support to your state through disaster assistance.
Then, select two major disasters in your state that occurred at least a decade apart. Discuss who the stakeholders were
in each event (hint: think broadly to include not only first responders but also other major players who were involved
within your state).
Examine the evolution of the overall emergency management response between the two events by discussing
similarities, differences, and outcomes.
Your essay should be well organized and at least two pages in length, not including the title and reference pages. At least
