OVERVIEW

 

This assignment will allow the student to apply the material learned in the class to historical events. This will help the student understand the variety of impacts that shaped a generation’s sexuality and sexual views. In addition, it will help the student understand the fluid nature of sexuality across generations. Finally, it will force the student to see the need and power of a standard view of sexuality or a biblical view of sexuality. 

 

INSTRUCTIONS

 

Each student will complete a Generations Research Paper Assignment comparing and contrasting the views of sexuality between two generations. The purpose of this paper is to help students understand the complexities of sexuality and how it changes over time along with how culture impacts our view. The students will research two different generations in America discussing the perceptions, ideas, practices, and philosophies of sexuality held by each generation (see chart below).  

The paper must include at least 8 pages of content. 

Excluded from this length are the title page, and reference section.

Current APA formatting style must be applied throughout the paper.

A minimum of 7 scholarly sources must be cited.

Acceptable sources include, but not limited to journal articles within the last 5 years, textbooks, books, and media resources (e.g., scholarly articles published within the                        last five years)

Cultural View Generationally of Sex 

Known Sexual Issues and Cultural Differences in Each Generation

Main Generational Teaching or Non-teaching Around Sex and Sexuality  

Spiritual Issues, Sins, and the Response of the Church to These Generational Views of Sexuality
