You do not need a cover page or a reference page for journals, but you do need to cite from your source and use in-text citations. When I grade journals, I am looking for approximately the following objectives:
Is the answer a fully developed paragraph that makes sense on its own, around 200 words?
Does the writer show understanding of the text and respond with their own opinion backed up with evidence?
Does the writer cite from the source correctly in APA format?
Is the post edited and mostly free of grammatical/mechanical mistakes?
